Royal Rooters - Tessie In 1903, the Royal Rooters sang "Tessie", a song from a musical that was popular at the time, incessantly at the World Series against Pittsburgh. They even parodied the lyrics with a verse heckling Pirates star Honus Wagner. This version is sung in the old-time style, but also includes verses on Sox fans' current nemeses, A-Rod and Jeter.
